 Although it may have been useful for plugin developers in the past, there
 is now an abundance of documentation available online to guide them. It's
 highly unlikely that any plugin developer still relies on the Hello Dolly
 plugin to create their own. This ticket has been open for over 14 years,
 and it's baffling that no action has been taken. Let's take the necessary
 step to remove this plugin and move forward.

 I completely agree. Nobody needs Hello Dolly. It wastes people's time to
 remove it. 15 seconds times millions of sites adds up.
