 Hi and thanks for the report!

 According to a [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/conflict-with-yoast-
 seo-42/ MaxGalleria forum post], this was a conflict with the `select2`
 script in Yoast SEO. The [https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-
 seo/issues?q=select2 Yoast SEO GitHub repository] contains similar issues.
 The plugin apparently [https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/pull/19022
 replaced select2], so these conflicts should not occur anymore.

 Because this was a plugin issue instead of WordPress Core, I'll use the
 'invalid' resolution.
