Comment:

 @joostdekeijzer Thanks for doing that and I hope they will fix it
 soon/accept a patch for it.

 Those PHP notices are there for a reason and WP should not be hiding them
 ("handling them gracefully") as that would hide important information for
 devs to allow them to fix their plugins.
