Comment:

 The patch has not been tested nor improved in the past year. Now testing
 in IE is more difficult for me and probably at least as difficult for any
 committer. Plus, the value of changing it this late is much less than when
 the ticket was opened.

 I'm closing as `wontfix`. If 'fixed' is more appropriate, would the
 milestone be WordPress.org?
