 I want to bring in another point besides the whole SEO-discussion, the
 latest years i have seen more and more talks around wasted energy in tech,
 and in particular website building. If you give scrapers something to
 scrape, it will be scraped. We can point to the "scrapers" which won't
 have any effect, or WordPress can take action itself.

 So, if WordPress has it's mouth full of bringing impact to the world and
 it's environment, this is in my opinion for sure a no-brainer, regardless
 the SEO-impact which will be very minor compared to the impact on energy
 consumption.
