 I think this can go in as a way to encourage modern practices and making
 the code easier to read for developers.

 I agree with Felix, this can be decoupled from a performance discussion.
 Any changes appear to be a rounding error. I suspect people are seeing
 different results because the difference is environmental and effected by
 other processes.
