 Google changed their FAQ a few months ago. It used to state that they
 stored the IP addresses.

 Also last part of the court ruling (translated by deepl from german to
 english)
 "It must also be taken into account that the IP address was indisputably
 transmitted to a Google server in the USA, whereby an adequate level of
 data protection is not guaranteed there (see ECJ, Judgment of 16.7.2020 -
 C-311/18 (Facebook Ireland and Schrems), NJW 2020, 2613)."
