 This ticket was discussed in the bug scrub. The characters mentioned in
 [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/54088#comment:25 comment 25]
 should be discussed in their own ticket.

 This ticket should continue on the discussion about changing `å` to `a`.
 Please be mindful of backwards compatibility as the discussion continues.
