Hi and welcome to Trac!
A3 Lazy Load has a GitHub repository for development and reporting issues
with the plugin. [https://github.com/a3rev/a3-lazy-load/issues/30 Issue
#30] addresses the `srcset`, if you would like to add any comments there.
Regarding the search form, #16539 and #23850 already replaced the
`searchsubmit` ID with a `search-submit` class for any theme that supports
HTML5 and uses the default search form. The `get_search_form()` function
retained the ID for compatibility with older themes. Because
[https://wpdirectory.net/search/01FZ0VGSN74Q042AT6BVPS57P6 many themes
still use the ID selector] and would break if the ID is either changed or
removed, I think the function needs to keep that.
