 Just an update, looking at Google results again, the number of results
 containing this symbol at the URL in WordPress sites, increased
 substantitally, currently there is almost 30 pages of results for last
 week (when I created the ticket there had only 3 pages of results for the
 previous week), I assume this is due to more and more sites using the
 latest version.
