 Thank you, @hellofromTonya, for the update! Meanwhile, I stumbled across
 the Roadmap issue on GitHub.

 As I could not find any official documentation, I have created
 [https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/41844 a PR to update the
 `theme.json` schema]. I hope I got it right. Welcome any feedback :D
