 case, I put a stop to the other errors and the canonical errors stop......

 How did you stop the notices? With the PHP function error_reporting()
 maybe? Please note that (depending on where you put the code) this will
 affect the error reporting level for everything that happens after that
 plugin loads, not just that particular plugin.
