 Hello @alanjacobmathew,

 Welcome to back to WordPress Core's Trac 👋 Thank you for reporting this
 issue.

 With `trunk` and TT2 with no other plugins, I am able to reproduce the
 issue. However, when activating Gutenberg v12.3.2 plugin, the issue is
 resolved. Also note, the reported issue does not occur with WP 5.8.3.

 I'm curious if the RC3 backports from Gutenberg to Core will include the
 fix or not. If no, investigation and resolution can happen in 5.9.1.

 Moving this ticket to 5.9.1 but will re-test after 5.9 RC3 just in case
 the fix does get backported.
