 The previous fix was to add some logic to `WP_Screen` to improve the
 accuracy of block editor detection, see [https://github.com/WordPress
 /wordpress-develop/commit/d575d70fe90fc2d61c17a0f5f7d190b08909f66f
 d575d70fe].

 I'm in two minds about the proposed patch in [https://github.com/WordPress
 /wordpress-develop/pull/2178 the linked pull request] as I worry it could
 lead to blocking HTTP requests during page load when patterns are not
 needed.

 I'll dig in to the code further and see if my concern is valid.
