Comment:

 Seems to be related to jQuery Update to 3.6.0 in WP 5.8.

 Upgrade to WP 5.8.3 and ACF Pro 5.11.4 solved the issue for me.

 Fix - Fixed several Select2.js conflicts with other plugins
