Comment:

 I've renamed this ticket for clarity.

 This issue has been fixed in the Gutenberg repository (see the associated
 [https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/38466 issue] and
 [https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/38362 pull request]). The fix
 will be included in the Gutenberg package updates for WP 5.9.1, see
 #55163.

 Given the issue has been fixed and is pending merge to WordPress, I'm
 going to close this as reported-upstream.
