 That could be the solution. Demonstrate a workaround the works for most
 cases. This could be implemented by plugins who provide custom post types
 with a lot of postmeta. If it then seems to work very well in almost all
 cases, it can be suggested for the Classic Editor plugin, too.

 Personally I don't expect WordPress core to fix every edge case, when that
 is not needed for core.
