 Hi and welcome to Trac!

 Which plugin do you use for the Author filter?

 Selecting Date and Author filters together seems to work for me with the
 [https://wordpress.org/plugins/author-filters/ Author Filters plugin].
 Their user ID query variable is `author_admin_filter`, if that makes a
 difference.
