 Hiya, and welcome to the WordPress trac!

 We've already got one ticket discussing this, which was closed a while
 back in #46689, I'm going to mark this one as a duplicate for now, but if
 there's any new rationales, besides what's already covered in that ticket,
 please feel free to update them there, although the ticket is closed for
 now, discussion can still happen and the ticket can be re-opened if new
 information that warrants it comes up.
