 I have created my own patch at [https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-
 develop/pull/1955 #1955], it is untested, but it copied from the post
 controller for the most part.

 I think we should make this change in 5.9 cycle, if we change it later it
 would be a backward compatibility issue.
