 Thanks @jameskoster!

 Personally I like the first design as the CTAs are clearer and we won't
 have to update it every release when the about page design language
 changes.

 The buttons in your mockup use the Gutenberg design language (white
 background). This might look a bit weird on the Dashboard where every
 other button uses the older WP Admin design language (grey background).
