Comment:

 I agree with [comment:5 "afercia's comment above"]. I don't think the
 changes in this ticket necessarily _improve_ anything, and that the
 current hover state works well. It also occurs to me that the colors being
 used doesn't seem to take into consideration a user's chosen color scheme.

 I'd suggest we close this issue.
