Comment (by joedolson):

 The patch omits the change to the adminbar text to say 'Updates', but I
 think that's intentional, given that everything else has been simplified.
 There are a lot of icon-primary links in the adminbar, and I don't think
 changing this one as part of this ticket is sensible; it should be done
 more systematically if that's going to change.
