Comment:

 Given the number of Safari updates in the past five years... does this
 still happen now? I don't have access to Safari to test.

 Since this seems to be a browser-specific bug, the best chance of fixing
 is if the browser fixes the issue. However, it might be possible to fix in
 core if we can figure out exactly what causes the issue.
