 Hi there, welcome back to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the report.

 Just noting that I was able to reproduce the issue as described. Moving to
 5.7.1 for investigation.

 Here's the response from the Autosaves controller that causes the error:
 `{"code":"rest_autosave_no_changes","message":"There is nothing to save.
 The autosave and the post content are the same.","data":{"status":400}}`
