 This bug has been prevalent for years and is a constant problem.

 When adding an image or video to WordPress in a new block, the alignment
 dropdown box shows the images as being centred when it is left-aligned.
 Therefore, when scanning a freshly created article containing new image
 inserts it is not possible to detect misaligned images easily.

 Since the majority of images will be centred, why not make this the actual
 proper default anyway.

 It would be good to check that other WordPress controls always reflect the
 actual internal state all of the time, without fail as well.
