 Using the Blogzilla theme (1.0.9) in WordPress 5.7 with Classic Editor, I
 have the Featured Image meta box appear below the Publish settings box.

 If you still have trouble setting the featured image, please upload a
 screenshot of the editor here. And if it works for you now, let us know
 that.
