 Someone else had trouble with the same version of the SmartMag theme with
 more recent WordPress. Since then, the reporter has updated to a more
 recent version of that theme.

 If you simply cannot update the theme, you could go to Customize and add
 this line of CSS to the Additional CSS section for a temporary fix:
 {{{
   .no-display { opacity: 1; }
 }}}

 I'll close this ticket because it is not a core bug.
