 I'm doing my take on the subsites menu. I lazy load the subsites, using
 IntersectionObserver and AJAX, loading only 80 subsites at a time. I've
 used @zephyr7501 CSS patch to make the subsites menu scrollable. My code
 is available at https://github.com/soderlind/super-admin-all-sites-menu
