 FYI: I've done a detailed review of the patch on GH and left extensive
 comments.

 I don't think this can be introduced as a dependency, if for no other
 reason than a mismatch in minimum PHP requirements.

 Valid fixes found through scans with PHPStan, however, should, of course,
 be committed.
