 Nice to see all of this cleaned up.

 Dropping a note here to say that the official Dev Note for visibility is
 really important to many plugin authors. Anyone who has put in the extra
 work in their plugins to match the core UI colors exactly now has a bunch
 of extra work to do during beta go keep up.

 Maybe a before & after list of the previous color and the new color, so
 that folks can easily find/replace in their own CSS files.

 Also, plugins who want to support 5.7 and 5.6 and earlier will need some
 guidance on how best to do that in their CSS. Do they ship completely
 different files? Can they variableize ahead of time? Some advice on how
 best to proceed – and be prepared for what’s coming next so they don’t
 need to redo this again in 5.8 – would be excellent.
