 Thank you for your submission. As @grapplerulrich noted above, there are 2
 filters available to customize the excerpt to achieve the output you want.

 I'm happy to see that you got it working. Plus, note the additional
 functions noted above too.

 Given the age of this ticket and that no patch has been added, I'm closing
 this ticket as `wontfix`.
