 I'd consider VoiceOver with Chrome a very low priority combination. The
 most relevant combinations to test are JAWS/Chrome; NVDA/Firefox;
 NVDA/Chrome; JAWS/IE and VoiceOver/Safari.

 Every combination of AT/browser will work a bit differently, and VoiceOver
 is the furthest outside the norm, and best with Safari.

 I'll test with a delay in other environments, and we can see. But no,
 VoiceOver/Chrome is not a particularly common set up for screen reader
 users - if this causes problems in other environments, I'd give preference
 to more common pairings. Did you experiment with a shorter delay? That
 seems pretty long.
