 The changeset in https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-
 develop/commit/071e80695d44952e3c6dab1030ac89f751c758c1 was supposed to
 revert the upgrade to Requests v2.

 However, it looks like the revert was incomplete, and left a few artifacts
 in that are now causing fatal errors:
