 Hi there, welcome to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the report.

 Just noting that this sounds similar to the issues that are already being
 tracked in #50349, #51823, and #53705.

 Also related: #51857.

 For reinstalling the plugin, you'll have to remove the existing `wp-
 content/plugins/jetpack/` directory via FTP or the hosting control panel.
 Please try the support forums for more details on that.
