 Well it was meant as a joke, mostly, hence the quotes. Interesting though
 why people have been reaching out to you and not to me to explain what I
 meant. Wouldn't it be better to get it "straight from the horse's mouth"?

 Lots of unneeded complexity for a seemingly small, insignificant
 improvement (that can actually be used to lower the code quality in the
 long run)? But lets take it to https://make.wordpress.org/core/, can we,
 please?
