 Backporting the fixture method wrappers means that extenders can (a) make
 a one-time change to snake_case and then (b) continue testing against
 older versions of WordPress.

 Looking at the [#comment:2 popular plugins matrix], there are plugins that
 support versions older than WP 5.2. If any of these plugins extend from
 core's test case(s), then backporting past WP 5.2 helps them and provides
 a better dev experience.
