 @jeremyfelt I agree, #51266 is a duplicate ticket and this ticket too
 older and based on WordPress older version 3.3.2, but when the WordPress
 core will fix it. Basically the solutions mentioned above do not work in
 my case and 500 URL's redirection affecting site performance. I hope you
 understand my concern and we are using Nginx server.
