 Love the idea! I'd show the message if there are less than 3 events.

 Can you remind me, to which page we link to in that message? Because after
 the new Learn WordPress platform is fully launched, I'd like to see that
 page reflect the fact that virtually everyone can lead a discussion group
 (which is a bit different than organizing an event).

 Of course, the change in core can't reflect that so much as we probably
 want to land with a text that keeps time.
