 Thanks for the feedback @ibdz @hedgefield !

 At the code level we can pass through whatever error message comes from
 the failure, so we ought to be able to avoid generic messages such as
 `HTTP error` here and possibly append a suffix such as `Try again`,
 although depending on the error it might not be possible to try again.

 I don't have time to write a patch for this so I'm bumping it for now. If
 someone else wants to pick it up, great!
