Comment:

 `50907.diff` is a first workaround for the feature.

 Some notes:

 - I agree with @dd32: we should have only two options: opt-in for minor
 and/or major auto-updates.

 - I think this implementation needs to be checked for Multisites, not sure
 it works well ''as it''.

 - I'm still not kind of having those options in the General settings
 screen. The update-core screen is the place where we manage Core updates,
 so we should also manage auto-updates on the same screen.
