Suppose user A publishes a private page that gets used as a stub. And user
B publishes a public page whose parent is the private page.
Chiming in on a ooooooooold thread so I don't lose the thought as I scroll
down. Suggesting parent option always available for pages based on
published status (draft, private, password, public) AND inherit most
restrictive permissions of parent:
1. Drafts can be assigned to any status.
2. Private pages can be assigned to any but Drafts.
3. Password pages can be assigned to Password or Public.
4. Public can be assigned to Public.
IF user attempts to assign to parent with more restrictions Notification
will prompt that cascading changes on affected children will occur or
cancel.
