Comment:

 Removing 5.6 as the version as this issue has previously existed before
 5.6.

 Per Sergey:
 >This doesn't seem new, I think it was discussed recently that core
 updater has a bit more defensive checks and a rollback in place if the
 update did not complete successfully, but the plugin/theme updater does
 not.
