New description:

 I'm using WordPress 4.8 and Microsoft Word 2016. I made a document with
 footnotes, and I'm saving it to my OneDrive account for automatic syncing
 to the cloud.

 When I copy and paste the document into WordPress, the footnote links
 don't simply link to "#_ftn1", but rather it links to the file on OneDrive
 (incorrectly) such as:

 <a href="https://d.docs.live.net/accountHash/file.docx#_ftn1"
 name="_ftnref1">[1]</a>

 Using a file not saved to OneDrive doesn't exhibit this problem.
