 Thanks @mukesh27. I misunderstood and thought this was an issue when
 adding a backslash in the Customizer, but now I see that the issue happens
 when loading the Customizer.

 At a glance, this issue is a side-effect of [46389]. It also seems to
 happen only when the backslash is the last character in the site title
 such that it escapes the closing quote in the Underscore template.
