 I noticed that the inserted 'featured image' is missing 'Alt Attribute'
 value on the edit window even when one is provided in the media gallery. I
 switched themes to ensure that the issue is not specific to the theme that
 I am using, but it persisted.

 * To replicate the issue, insert a featured image that has an alt text and
 inspect it on the edit window. NOT on the public site

 * The ‘Alt Text’ showed when the same image was inserted into the content
 area proper.

 I came across the issue as I was working on a feature for my plugin that
 will help users ensure that they provide 'alt text' for all images in use
 on the page.
