 Hi @splaquet and welcome to Trac!

 I've used the `upload_dir` filter to customize the upload directory
 before. And at least one plugin—I found [https://wordpress.org/plugins
 /custom-upload-dir/ Custom Upload Dir]— offers a friendlier way to
 organize files into subfolder(s).
