Comment (by afercia):

 [attachment:"47656.6.diff"] reverts [48059] and:

 - keeps the revised strings from comment:15 as it's an improvement
 - revises one more string to avoid using the word "error" twice in the
 same message

 I'd appreciate some quick testing to verify I didn't miss anything.
