 Yeah, same here. Think this CSS was kept for backwards compatibility's
 sake, don't see a good reason to remove it in 5.5.

 Hopefully the other CSS changes that affect back-compat/plugins can be
 fixed and tested in time for 5.5. If not, seems the only option would be
 to revert it, then fix, test, and add in 5.6.
