Comment:

 [attachment:"50448.diff"] is an updated diff that will reset a plugin's
 failed auto-update email notification tracking when successfully updated
 by initiating an update within the admin.

 I'm not sure how to address updates that are applied by manually uploading
 the new version plugin.
